Mercedes Benz Automatic Transmission Oil FE 236.15 is a modern OEM transmission oil for use in the Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission 7G-Tronic-Plus 722.9.
The 7-speed torque converter automatic transmission from Mercedes, also known under the internal designations NAG2+ or NAG2-FE (NAG stands for “New Automatic Transmission” and comes from german language), was introduced to the product range in 2010. This is a further development of the 7G-Tronic (NAG2), which had been available in almost all vehicle models up to that point, with a revised torque converter that achieves higher increased efficiency and thus fuel savings thanks to lower friction losses and reduced drag power. This is where the abbreviation “FE” comes from – it stands for Fuel Efficiency.
